Rock, paper, scissor…ROBOT! This fist of steal doesn’t know failure. Thankfully this only applies to the classic game that helps us mere humans make decisions.
The robot designed by Oku Lab at the University of Tokyo, Japan has a high-speed vision system that beats our mortal synapses and neurons every time.
According to the lab website, the recognition of the human hand ‘can be performed at 1ms with a high-speed vision, and the position and the shape of the human hand is recognised’.
So really the robot is a cheat, watching your finger movements at a high-speed rate and calculating the winning movement.
This millisecond difference marks another defeat for humanity.
So if you find that your mate is beating you every time, take a second look into his eyes for a metallic glow.
