Iran state media claims homosexuality is Zionist conspiracy propagated by the West 'world domination'

The Islamic Republic of Iran, designated by the U.S. Department of State as a “state sponsor of terrorism”, is accusing Hollywood of indoctrinating the world into accepting homosexuality and said the teaching of homosexuality was mandatory for all students in California.

Mashregh news agency published the piece titled 'Introduction to the overt and covert aspects of spreading homosexuality in the world' last week,

The piece claimed that literary awards for gay writers were controlled by "Zionists", and suggested if Western countries trwanted to support lesbian and gay people, they would offer free medical support to "cure" them.

"If support for homosexuals stemmed from humane considerations or defense of human rights, it would be in the form of providing individual assistance to these people, who need care and medical treatment to rescue them from the immoral actions that undermine the family institution."

Dr. Wahied Wahdat-Hagh, an expert on minority groups in Iran, told The Jerusalem Post the article “legitimises the execution of gays in Iran; they made a text not only to ridicule the West but to provide a reason why Iran executes gays.”

Earlier this year, Ayatollah Abdollah Javadi-Amoli, an influential Islamic scholar  in Iran's holy city of Qom, said  that homosexuals are inferior to dogs and pigs.
