Sex in space could actually be damaging to your health to the point of being fatal, new research has claimed.
A study conducted by Montreal University on plants has revealed the effects of zero or low gravity on reproduction. The bad news is that this same effect or similar could take place in people, too, were they to get jiggy in space.
Damage can be done to cells at low or high gravity, particularly the reproductive organs, as the movement of cell material can be affected.
'Our findings have implications for human health,” study co-researcher Dr Yousef Chebli says of the links between plants and human cells.
“Similar effects are likely to occur in human cells such as neurons where long distance intracellular transport is crucial.'
