The tome, penned by Pulitzer Prize winner David Maraniss, contains this choice tidbud, er, tidbit:
“Barry also had a knack for interceptions. When a joint was making the rounds, he often elbowed his way in, out of turn, shouted “Intercepted!,” and took an extra hit. No one seemed to mind.”
Obama was part of a group called The Choom Gang when he attended Punahou School in Honolulu, Hawaii, the biography claims. ‘Choom’ means ‘to smoke marijuana’.
The gang even rode around in a ‘Choomwagon’ – a Volkswagen bus. It was probably here that the gang practised a concept that Obama allegedly popularised – “roof hits”, which meant that all windows of the vehicle had to be rolled up so that no smoke blew out and went to waste.
Coolest world leader ever? We think so.
