From midsummer for three months, the dining space and bar will be totally transformed, while the menu, which specialises in contemporary and traditional Swedish cuisine, is being given a surprising twist too.
The restaurant will be transformed into a fantastical Scandinavian-style forest, complete with a trolls’ ‘grotto’ and real foliage.
As for the food, the menu has been given a ‘Blumenthalesque’ (their words, not ours) twist, designed to trick and tease. In this topsy-turvy world, nothing is quite what it seems – carrots could be purple, potatoes of the black truffle variety. Expect the unusual likes of ox cheek, elk burgers and elderflower pickled herring.
