Eminem has reached a billion views on his YouTube channel, catching up with Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber. Closely trailed the top three YouTube maestros is Rihanna, who is expected to reach a billion views by the end of the week.
Last year’s release of Recovery saw a surge in Eminem’s social media popularity and he is now the third most popular artist on YouTube.
Eminem also ranks high on Facebook, hot on the heels of Lady Gaga.
On Twitter, however, Gaga reigns supreme with over 8million followers to Eminem’s 3million.
Eminem and Rihanna’s collaboration for Love You The Way You Lie broke a YouTube record itself achieved the highest ever number of hits in 24 hours.
On average, Eminem’s YouTube videos attract around 20million new views a week.
On an aggregated basis, Famecount.com ranks Eminem the third most popular star on social media, just behind Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber.
