Johnny Depp made a surprise visit to a London school after a pupil wrote to him asking for help ‘organising a mutiny’.
Depp has been in Greenwich filming the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie for the last few weeks and decided to make the day of 9-year-old Beatrice Delap who had written to Depp/ Captain Jack Sparrow asking him to help her and her friends to mutiny against the teachers.
The letter said: “Normally we’re a right handful but we’re having trouble mutinying against our teachers. We’d love it if you could come and help.”
To the amazement of pupils and teachers, Depp yesterday turned up unannounced and in full Jack Sparrow costume at Meridian Primary School.
Beatrice said: “He gave me a hug and he said, ‘Maybe we shouldn’t mutiny today ‘cos there are police outside monitoring me.’”
The girls at TNT would like to let Johnny know that he’s welcome to pop in for a mutiny any time he likes!
