Once it’s found the snaps of your scantily-clad buddies, it then allows you to browse, bookmark and share them with others.
Civil liberties campaign group Big Brother Watch said it provided a ‘stark warning’ about how users of Facebook and other social networks can lose control over data once it is uploaded to the internet.
‘Privacy is clearly at the very back of the designers mind when creating an application that enables this kind of search to be easier when it, in fact, it should be made more difficult,’ said Emma Carr, the group’s deputy director.
The app contains a testimonial from a friend of of the app’s creator, Erick Barto. Mr Barto’s roommate, John Moses, who sounds like a thoroughly charming young man said: ‘This is going to save me so much time diggin’ through pics.’
Internet Watch Foundation recently claimed that more than 12,000 instances of girls who had posted seductive pictures of themselves had ended up on pornographic sites.
Maybe it’s time for a quick cull of your Facebook friends that you don’t know that well?
