A video of Barack Obama roasting Donald Trump at the recent White House Correspondents Association dinner has gone viral on Youtube and won a thumbs up from comedian Rocky Gervais.
Obama’s brilliantly cutting piss-take – during which he joked sarcastically that Donald Trump’s decisions on Celebrity Apprentice would “keep him awake at night” – was greeted with delight by Gervais who wrote on his blog:
“I f**king loved Obama’s beautiful destruction of Trump. I’ve been invited to this event a couple of times but couldn’t make it.
“God, I would have loved to have seen this. I think I may suggest that he does the Golden Globes next year.”

During the speech at the White House Correspondents Association dinner, President Obama put the boot into Trump in retaliation for the Republican hopeful’s insistence that Obama produce a birth certificate.
Obama quipped that since his official birth certificate has now been released, Trump could focus “on the issues that matter. Like, did we fake the moon landing? What really happened in Roswell? And where are Biggie and 2Pac?”
Predicting what would happen to the White House if Trump’s presidency bid was successful, Obama then showed a mocked-up image of the presidential residence turned into a casino and golf course with bikini-clad girls sitting outside in a hot tub.

Obama went on to belittle Trump’s role on The Celebrity Apprentice, joking that choosing who to fire would keep him awake at night. To much laughter and applause, Obama joked:
“For example – no, seriously, just recently, in an episode of Celebrity Apprentice at the steakhouse, the men’s cooking team cooking did not impress the judges from Omaha Steaks.
“And there was a lot of blame to go around. But you, Mr. Trump, recognized that the real problem was a lack of leadership. And so ultimately, you didn’t blame Lil’ Jon or Meatloaf. You fired Gary Busey.
“And these are the kind of decisions that would keep me up at night. Well handled, sir. Well handled.”
Trump sat with a grimace on his face as Obama tore him to shreds and commented later that the president’s comments were “inappropriate.”
Things got even more embarrassing for Trump on Sunday night, when news of Obama’s strike on Osama bin Laden forced NBC News to split-screen between Donald Trump’s The Apprentice and the President’s announcement.

Twitter was awash with hilarity as the disparity between Obama and Trump’s level of responsibility was highlighted.
“Bin Laden killed EXACTLY as Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice was on the air. Another Obama attempt to hold back The Donald. Haha, um, no,” tweeted icarmagic.
“No matter what Obama says, bin Laden’s not dead until Donald Trump see’s his death certificate,” quipped Michael Moore.
