The World Naked Bike Ride returns to London on Sunday 14 June 2026, and if you have never seen a thousand-plus naked cyclists rolling past Buckingham Palace, this is your year. WNBR London has been riding annually since 2004 to protest for a better environment, safer cycling, and the recognition that ordinary people have ordinary bodies. The event takes place in more than 200 cities around the world, but London is widely considered home to one of the largest rides in the world, often attracting thousands of participants and extensive media attention.

This year brings a change of day. The 2026 ride takes place on Sunday 14 June, the first time the event has moved from its traditional Saturday slot. In recent years the Saturday had become increasingly busy with more traffic, events, road closures, protests, counter-protests, police lockdowns, and the Trooping of the Colour. The swap with WNBR Brighton, which now takes the Saturday, also means the 2026 ride has been scheduled to run 30 minutes earlier than in previous years, so note the new start times on wnbrlondon.uk.

There are nine starting locations dotted across London. Some of these have body painting stations, so you can turn up early and add a pop of colour to your birthday suit. Full nudity is optional; some people cycle in their underwear for personal modesty or chafing reasons. All routes converge around Westminster Bridge for a grand finale near Wellington Arch at around 5.30pm, with more than 1,000 riders expected. After the ride, WNBR London will be hosting its biggest after-party yet, with entertainment at 8pm and 9pm, and a life drawing session at 7pm for early arrivals, with doors opening at 6pm. After-party tickets are sold separately as fundraising donations.

You do not need to sign up or pay to participate in WNBR London. You just need to be in the right place at the right time with a bike to ride. Check wnbrlondon.uk for confirmed start times and locations before you set off. The nearest tube and rail stations depend on your chosen start point; central London is easily reached via the Elizabeth line, Northern line, and most major termini. If you are watching rather than riding, please do so respectfully, particularly with regards to taking photos of individual riders.
