Thousands turned out in Wellington, New Zealand for the latest installment in Peter Jackson’s Tolkien saga, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
The streets were lined with thousands of fans, Hollywood stars and cast from the movie as the elf-love in began in earnest ahead of the film's forthcoming global bow. 
Cate Blanchett turned up to check out the new movie, with former Rings star Elijah Wood taking a bow, not to mention new man of the hour Martin Freeman and mastermind of the big screen adaptation of the Middle Earth saga, Peter Jackson.
