Modern mystical soul superstar Erykah Badu comes to Hammersmith Apollo this Wednesday as part of the London and Manchester BluesFest 2012.
A major influence on sadly departed singer Amy Winehouse, queen of cool Badu's critically acclaimed and Grammy award-winning 1997 debut Baduism set about bringing soul music to a new level.
Since then the Texas-born singer songwriter has set about redefining the boundaries of soul, blues, hip hop and jazz with her albums Mama's Gun, Worldwide Underground and New Amerykah (Parts One and Two).
