Thousands of Londoners have just found out they’ve made the cut for the 2013 London Marathon.
Most of us have no doubt seen more joggers than usual speeding past, making the unhealthy among us feel guilty. However, you don’t need to be training for something epic to enjoy the odd run.
Even though the winter nights are drawing in, outdoor running sessions with the Boutique Run Club still take place – they’ve recently set up their ‘After Dark’ sessions for ladies who’d rather not run alone at night.
They say you can be “safe and seen” during their sessions, which start at 6.30pm on October 29 and continue for six weeks during the dark months. Run through the city’s parks and streets with this group.
Once you get into your stride you can also compete in the 5km and 7km fun runs with them. They promise that “no one will get left behind,” whether you’re super speedy or a complete beginner.
After the sessions members hang out at the Whole Foods Market, where the runs begin. The store offers complimentary snacks and refreshments, and hosts various workshops after the jogs.
Run begins at 20 Glasshouse Street, Piccadilly, W1B 5AR
