It's true - you don't need to lose that healthy glow this autumn. You just need to sort out your beauty regime, pronto.

It's been hard and dirty work, but the TNT team have been trialling this autumn's hottest skincare products, and we've finally compiled a shortlist of winners. Want to look luscious throughout the colder months? Just stick with this lot...

Let's kick off with Clarins and Origins, shall we? Clarins' Gentle Foaming Cleaner and Ultra-Matte Rebalancing Lotion are perfect for those of us who suffer from shiny patches and tend to go all-out on the moisturiser when the weather's colder, and Origins' Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief is ideal for those hungover, chilly days when nothing makes your skin perk up.

We've always loved a good toner - yes, Eau Thermale Avène Gentle Toner, Delarom Pure Freshness Toner and Merumaya Treatment Toner, we're talking about you - but what got us going during our trialling was the rise of the micellar water. Botanics do an incredible one, and so do Nivea - however, don't be afraid of testing the budget brands. Tesco's one is also pretty lush. We're also pretty impressed by the range of cleansing oils doing the rounds at the moment; look out for MooGoo's Oil Cleansing Method, which we loved. Clarins' Lotus Face Treatment Oil was startlingly good, and Tesco's Pro Formula Hydrating Cleansing Oil is ideal for people on a budget.

Let's talk about cleansing. Why not, I hear you ask? If you love a creamy cleanser, Organic Surge's Gentle Cleansing Lotion is a winner, and we also got a lot of mileage out of Eau Thermale Avène's Gentle Milk Cleanser and Aubrey's Cleansing Cream. MyChelle do a wonderful Creamy Pumpkin Cleanser; get this one in for Halloween, maybe? Just out of interest, MyChelle do a marvellous Remarkable Retinal Serum and a Deep Repair Cream that kept our skins feeling supple after a weekend of rather hard drinking. Lavera's almond-scented Gentle Cleansing Milk is also lovely.

Of course, maybe you prefer a facial wash. In that case, stick with this lot. Merumaya's Melting Cleansing Balm is good for dry skins, and Radiance by SJ3 do a foaming cleanser that lasts for ages. Sarah Chapman's Skinesis Ultimate Cleanse is a luxury buy that you won't regret (trust us on that), and those of us that tried ARK's Age Prepare Skin Clear Cleanser are hooked for life. If your skin's a bit fussy and blows up at the first sign of trouble, Angela Langford's Clean Sweep will sort you out. Oily skin? No problem - give Neutrogena's Visibly Clear Pore & Shine Daily Wash a go. If you'd like to work yourself into a real lather, Braun's Cleaning Brush will ensure you're forever blowing bubbles. Well, until you rinse your face.

Now we come to the crux of autumn and winter skincare - the moisturiser. Those of us that have very dry skins rated Palmer's Daily Facial Lotion, Simple's Replenishing Rich Moisturiser and Nutrialba's Rich Nourishing Cream. If you suffer with oily skin, Neutrogena's Pink Grapefruit Oil-Free Moisturiser, Organic Surge's Blissful Daily Moisturiser and ARK's Skin Vitality Moisturiser will leave you shine-free until the spring. Simple also do a light moisturiser that's really good. Need a night cream? Botanics' Firming Night Cream will keep you from dehydrating when the central heating's blaring, and Delarom's Revitality Balm lasts for ages. It doesn't half smell great, too.
