If the Olympics have got you all geared up for improving your fitness, why not start off by splashing around in the water?
There are lots of lidos in London, but this one at London Fields is the capital’s only Olympic-size, 50m heated outdoor pool.
You’ll also be following in the athletes’ strokes, as the US Paralympic team will be using it for their training.
London Fields Lido holds a daily Swim Fit class, which means you’ll be able to get your workout out of the way before you head into the office for the daily grind.
Running from 6.30am-8.30am Mon-Fri and 8am-10am Sat-Sun, it’s a lane environment so you can pit yourself against the gold medallists by timing yourself.
It also means you can take your time if you’re more of a beginner, while the experts do their thing. Who knows, you could be heading to Rio in 2016. Maybe.
After you’ve practiced your breaststroke and honed your front crawl, grab a few snacks from the cafe, head on to the sun terrace, and relax in the sunshine.
What better way to start your day?
