Two passengers on separate Qantas flights to and from Perth have died in non-suspicious circumstances, according to local police.
Early reports coming from QF589 from Sydney to Perth and flight QF642 from Perth to Sydney have indicated that the deaths occurred within 20 minutes of each other, as a result of what is rumoured to have been heart attacks.
However, Qantas are unable to give any further details, telling PerthNow “We are unable to say anything else because of passenger confidentiality.” Flight QF642 was redirected to Adelaide following the emergency.
Perth Airport have said that a passenger had collapsed in the Perth terminal, according to PerthNow.
The fatalities occured around 1pm WST.
