In the fifteen minute speech today, the Aussie Prime Minister systematically tore apart the leader of the opposition Tony Abbott, who she repeatedly labelled a misogynist.

Gillard said in the scathing address in parliament that she was "offended on behalf of the women of Australia".

"I will not be lectured about sexism and misogyny by this man, I will not. Not now, not ever." she said, following the scandal that led to the resignation of speaker Peter Slipper, who Gillard had defended.

"If he wants to know what misogyny looks like in modern Australia he doesn't need a motion in the House of Representatives, he needs a mirror."

The Spectator commented that Abbot had been "carved to pieces" by the speech. US political commentary site Jezebel described Gillard was "one badass motherf***er".
