It has been reported that NASA has unintentionally sold the Apollo 11 moon landing bag for less than $1000 US.

The bag that was used to gather moon samples in 1969, was apparently sold due to an administrative fault.

NASA didn’t realise that the bag was missing until the woman who bought it sent it to them for authentication.

NASA and the woman who bought it are in a legal battle over who is the rightful owner.

The bag contains pieces of lunar debris from the 1969 mission when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin first visited the moon.
