Boris Johnson found himself stuck on a zipwire with two union jacks clutched in his sweaty hands as a PR stunt went a little wrong, leaving the London major strapped up and dangling over onlookers’ heads in Victoria Park.
Johnson was taking part in a London 2012 Olympics celebration and was, presumably, supposed to glide gracefully over the park like a flying swan.
In the event however, Boris was left swinging on the zipwire as his union jacks fluttered and gleeful crowds filmed him on their mobile phones.

The Mayor spent around five minutes hanging in the air although according to reports he took it in good humour leading the crowd in cheering on British rowers.
When asked he was feeling, Johnson replied “Very, very well thank you. Get me a rope, get me a ladder!”
Boris was eventually rescued by staff who suggested that the mishap was caused by "loss of momentum".
