Last night's Closing Ceremony drew the curtain on what has been described by many as one of the most successful Games ever and the good news had obviously reached David Cameron and Boris Johnson who were captured dancing like only middle aged men can
As the Spice Girls performed a medley of Wannabe and Spice Up Your Life, a for this night only performance that saw the five original members back together, Cameron and Johnson danced away in the stadium, throwing moves that would make even the most inebriated uncle at a wedding red faced with embarrassment.
After Danny Boyle’s ‘leftie, multicultural’ opening ceremony wowed the world, the closing bash divided opinion – with those celebrating it for its ‘party atmosphere’, but others criticising it for its stereotype approach to Britain and british culture, and for its predictability.
