New Zealand celebrates The Hobbit premiere as thousands of fans turn out for Peter Jackson's latest Middle Earth adventure

Thousands turned out in Wellington, New Zealand for the latest installment in Peter Jackson’s Tolkien saga, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
The streets were lined with thousands of fans, Hollywood stars and cast from the movie as the elf-love in began in earnest ahead of the film's forthcoming global bow. 
Cate Blanchett turned up to check out the new movie, with former Rings star Elijah Wood taking a bow, not to mention new man of the hour Martin Freeman and mastermind of the big screen adaptation of the Middle Earth saga, Peter Jackson. 
The new movie is released here on December 13, in the meantime check out the trailer below:
