The 38-year-old star from Take That has become a Dad.
William’s wife Ayda Field gave birth yesterday to a baby girl, after William’s promised not to give her a wacky showbiz name.
“Praise be, it's Theodora Rose Williams, affectionately known as Teddy,” wrote Williams on his blog. She was born at 3.33pm on 18.9.12, 7Ibs 4oz.
Before the birth Williams was asked about the name: "I do have a sort of celebrity name but it's not Apple-esque,” said the star mocking Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow’s name choice for their child.
Sky News reported: "I don't want to educate our baby in LA because I would much prefer her to have English sensibilities," said Williams.
"I want the baby to have an English passport, we're still figuring out exactly whereabouts the baby is going to be brought up.
"I had a conversation with the wife last night about where we're going to end up, but we still don't know."
Williams and Field got together five years ago, and got married three years later.
