Your or You're? US rapper Mac Lethal will set you right on your possesives and contractions.
Sampling Gotye's inescapable hit Somebody That I Used to Know Mac Lethal spits his disgust at those who consistently use the wrong version of your or you're
Dressed in a Louis CK T-Shirt and with a Bill Hicks poster in the background, Lethal outlines his argument very clearly, referring to the 'evildoers' as insular idiots, and using reality TV references such as Kim Kardashian to strike a chord with the people he is teaching.
"Haha. Yo. I may rap faster than I ever have in my life on this. While simultaneously correcting idiots who don't know the difference between "your" and "you're." Oh fuck," Lethal wrote on his Facebook page as he released the video.
Lethal, born David McCleary Sheldon, 29, is an institution on the Kansas City hip hop scene, winning the local Scribble Jam contest in 2002 and touring with feloow hip hop and spoken word artist Sage franis in 2004.
Mac Lethal hosts Black Clover Radio Hour on the Kansas City alternative station 96.5 The Buzz, but his international breakthrough came via YouTube last year, when he released a YouTube video of him rapping over the beat to Chris Brown's Look At Me Now, while cooking pancakes in his kitchen.
The video went viral, leading to exposure on CNN and in the Washington Post. The video is currently up to 23 million views.
