Actor Benedict Cumberbatch threatens to leave UK over 'posh bashing'

Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch has had a bit of a tanty, claiming he is going to leave Britain because he is sick of being teased about being posh.

As millions around the country froze in panic and yelled ”no, don’t go, Bene”, Cabbagepatch made his grievances public through Radio Times Magazine.

He said he had been "castigated as a moaning, rich, public-school b******, complaining about only getting posh roles".

"I wasn't born into land or titles, or new money, or an oil rig," he moaned.

"It's just so predictable ... so domestic, and so dumb... It makes me think I want to go to America."

The 36-year-old actor was educated at the top private school Harrow before shooing to fame as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's sleuthin the BBC detective drama.

Despite all the ‘bashing’ he endures, Clammypatch, who featured in Tinker Tailor Solidier Spy, said he had enjoyed his status as pin-up after Sherlock.

"It puts a bit of a spring in your step. It's nice, you swagger a little bit, it's enjoyable," he said.

"I've punched well above my weight this year. And that remains very much a secret ... I find it hysterically funny ... It's a giggle. I wield it with a massive smile."
