Rebekah Brooks and husband Charlie set to face trial for perverting the course of justice

Rebekah Brooks and husband Charlie are set to face trial for perverting the course of justice, after appearing in court today.
Brooks, former editor of two of Britain's top-selling newspapers (The Sun and now defunct News of the World) and also former News International chief executive, is accused of removing boxes of material from the News International archive and attempting to conceal documents and computers, among other material.
Today's hearing ended with Brooks and her husband, plus four members of her former entourage, bailed until later this month. It is then that a trial will begin in Southwark Crown Court.
Her husband Charlie - who went to Eton with prime minister David Cameron - was said to have looked relaxed throughout the hearing. Brooks herself apparently smiled as she arrived.
The offences are alleged to have taken place in July last year.
