A clip of paralympian David Wetherill smashing a spectacular point-winning shot has become an online hit
The British table tennis star lunged for the ball, knocked it back over the net and sent it flying past his German opponent, Thomasz Kusiak. He finished off the shot with a dramatic rolling tumble, as the crowd went wild.
Wetherill later tweeted: "Very disappointed but I gave it everything, I'll be a better player for that experience – amazing, can't thank u all enough.
"At least I might get a few YouTube hits, Superman diving forehand winner? I practice that I'll have you know #ProudParalympian."
