A struggling swimming pool in Leeds, Yorkshire, has come up with unique ways to help find the new bathers it needs to stay afloat – the latest being a poolside screening of Jaws, with its famous soundtrack heard above and below the water.
Bramley Baths has been struggling to make ends meet and the site on which it sits is targeted for re-development. The latest stunt-life-saving endeavour will see Steven Spielberg’s Seventies shark film screened poolside – with John Williams’ iconic and utterly terrifying der-dun soundtrack pumped out under the water.
How many times have you been swimming in the sea and heard that damn tune sound off in your head? Or even done a length down the local pool but had to reach for the side as your mind takes you back to those under-the-water 'its beneath you' camera shots?
Now Leeds swimmers can actually live out that horror for real!
