The perfect romantic moment, months of preparation - and it all went down like a lead balloon.
A couple in the U.S. state of Indiana had a very special hot air balloon ride where the future groom proposed to his blushing would-be bride.
However, it all came crashing down to earth suddenly came crashing down to earth. Having already landed, the pilot decided to move on to a smoother patch of ground.
"When the basket touched the ground, the female said 'yes' to the engagement," Major Chuck Adams of an Indiana Sheriff's office told CNN.
On their descent the balloon drifted off course and hit a power line - the resulting electric shock was so violent it knocked out the pilot, a local jewellery shop owner by the name of Dallas Beall.
The future bride sprung into action and performed emergency CPR. The couple were later both treated for minor burns by paramedics.
