A man has filed a lawsuit against BMW, claiming his motorbike seat gave him a two-year-long erection.
Henry Wolf claims the ‘ridged seat ‘ on his 1993 motorcycle caused an extreme case of priapism, also known as a long-lasting boner. The condition left him mentally and emotionally unstable, he said.
Wolf "has been experiencing continuing problems since his motorcycle ride," attorney Vernon Bradley of Sausalito wrote in the lawsuit, filed in California Superior Court in San Francisco last Thursday. "He is now unable to engage in sexual activity, which is causing him substantial emotional and mental anguish."
Wolf first got woody after he took a four-hour ride on his bike, Bradley said.
He is now seeking financial damages for lost wages, medical expenses, emotional distress and “general damage” – to whom, we wonder?
On a serious note, priapism is considered an emergency medical condition. It is named after the Greek fertility god Priapus, commonly depicted as having an unusually large erection.
A blog called All About Bikes notes several instances of alleged erectile dysfunction due to narrow motorbike seats, but this is a first for permanent sexual arousal.
