Unborn baby which survived car crash that killed parents also dies

The prematurely delivered baby who was delivered from the body of his young mother, was hailed as a miraculous survivor by mourners. Sadly the baby was pronounced dead today at New York's Bellevue Hospital.

The young newlywed parents who were involved in the car accident in Brookly, Raizy and Nathan Glauber, were both just 21 years old and part of Brooklyn's Orthodox Jewish community. Thousands of mourners gathered at the funeral on Sunday in the Williamsburg neighbourhood.

“If it would have stayed alive, there would have been at least a memory of this young couple for the grandparents, the family, the community. Now they leave nothing behind.” said family friend Isaac Abraham.

New York police are searching for the driver of a BMW sedan thought to have been responsible for the hit and run incident. A man and a woman were spotted running from the scene of the crime.
