CCTV video from a Perth supermarket has captured the moment a builder resuscitated a two-year-old with mouth-to-mouth after she stopped breathing, very likely saving her life in the process.

Footage shows two-year-old Shaylar's mother, Amy Collard, carrying her daughter to the till of the supermarket frantically asking for help after she discovered her child wasn't breathing.

The girl's father Michael Narkle runs in and attempts to perform the Heimlich manoeuvre to no avail.

The hero builder, Rowan O'Neill, then places the child down on the counter and starts mouth-to-mouth.

After 90 agonising seconds the child opens her eyes and starts to breath independently.

Collard told Aussie news show A Current Affair: "I thought she was going to die. I'm lucky that he was there."
