San Deigo's Independence Day fireworks display hit a minor snag yesterday as 15 minutes of fireworks went off in about 15 seconds.
The result? Three massive fireballs rumbling in the sky at the same time and, very soon thereafter, lots of disappointed yankees.
The fireworks had been set up on three barges, stationed across the city's bay, for part of a 15 minute display.
However a malfunction meant that at 8.55pm, five minutes before the show was due to start a signal was sent to the barges, causing all three to set off all their fireworks at once.
"We sincerely apologize for the technical glitch that affected the #BigBayBoom. Event producers are currently investigating the cause," read a Tweet from the Port of San Diego.
