A UFO caught on camera in Chile is being hailed as a breakthrough by an expert who claims it might develop into one of the most convincing pieces of evidence yet as to the existence of visiting aliens.
The footage, filmed in 2010 shows a silver spot moving at incredibly high speed across the sky at an Air Force base in Santiago.
UFO expert, Leslie Kean said: "This is very, very unusual case, and I'm hoping that this case will help move forward the recognition that there really is something here that's worth of further study.
"It has the possibility of being a breakthrough case."
The footage, which was uncovered by MSN's Cosmic Log, was initially derided by experts who said it was merely dust in lens, however the object appears to have been caught from several different angles by different cameras.
This would also discount other possible explanations, such as the UFO being a bug flying close to the camera.
