Here's the low-down on five hostels that women around the world will love.

No matter where you’re from or where you’re going, every woman enjoys a bit of pampering and special treatment from time to time, so why not while travelling the world?

Here we reveals five hostels that boast anything from herbal steam baths and cocktail making lessons to the simplest of touches like dressing tables, nail polish and tea delivered directly to you in bed.

Of course, women don’t need these things to get out there and travel the world, but they are pretty cool added extras, especially when they can even be enjoyed when travelling on a shoestring budget…

WellnessHostel4000 in Switzerland combines the typical laid back ambience and purse friendly prices of a hostel with all you would expect from a modern wellness and fitness facility – a Finnish sauna, herbal steam baths, hydro-massage showers, a swimming pool and much more. The hostel promotes a sustainable way of life and an easy going attitude, all whilst surrounding its guests with contemporary architecture. Where this hostel isn’t exclusively targeted at females, it’s certainly somewhere ladies can go to both immerse themselves in the Swiss wilderness and relax.

The Sanctuary wing at BASE St Kilda, Melbourne, has a girls-only level where ladies can take as much undisturbed time as they want to get ready for the hostel’s most popular night, Girl’s Night, where they have access to hairdryers, straighteners and movie star mirrors. On arrival all female guests are greeted with a glass of Champagne; a gift containing a selection of hair products; a fluffy towel to wrap up in after a day at the beach and top quality linen to guarantee a good night’s sleep. On the weekends tea and coffee are served in bed so all guests wake up ready for the day of adventuring around the spectacular city of Melbourne.

If you’re planning your best friend’s hen-do but want to make sure you take everyone’s budget into account, then look no further than design lead hostel, Generator, Dublin – home of the party. Book an exclusive VIP package and enjoy the Ladies’ Jacuzzi Suite which includes a cocktail making lesson, a live DJ can also be booked as well as a bespoke party organised by the hostels very own events team. Breakfast is also included so you can eat away the sins of the night before.

In Amsterdam you’ll find new generation hostel, Ecomama, where they look after the ladies with the offering of a ladies only dorm where guests can plan their escapades around the city with the awesome people they’re likely to have just met. Guests will find chic antique framed beds to sleep in and to top it off the room is filled with free nail polish, glossy magazines, hair dryers and straighteners allowing female travellers to pack light and kick back after a day of living like a local.

The women’s only dorms at U Hostels in Madrid are designed with girls in mind, large mirrors adorn the walls and dressing tables are kitted out with hair dryers and power points. U Hostels is a mixed hostel with many exciting facilities to be taken advantage of: a private cinema room, a magnetic wall map of the city as well as an onsite bar boasting very competitively priced drinks! All of which will ensure guests have the best experience whilst taking in Madrid.
