Creepy news alert: Thomson Airways is introducing a check-in process for young passengers’ cuddly toys so that tots’ favoured companions don’t become lost.

Soft toys can be registered prior to flying and are even issued with a special boarding pass. Gatwick Airport’s lost property department is bombarded with up to 30 misplaced cuddly animals every month, it is reported, hence Thomson’s bright idea. Is it just us, or is this whole thing unbearably urgh-worthy?
