This eccentric fair is one of Ireland’s oldest.
Together with events including the ‘Wobbly Circus Walkabout’ (the mind boggles), a goat is brought into town and the Queen of the Puck Fair, traditionally the oldest virgin in the village (a bittersweet crown, then), crowns the beast ‘King Puck’.
