The main event will be a spectacular RAF fly-past of historical and current aircraft (including a Spitfire and Typhoon) followed by a drumhead, wreath-laying ceremony and hymns sung by the London welsh male voice choir.
In attendance veterans of the conflict in the Far East, the Prince of Wales and David Cameron laying a wreath. After the event pipes and drums will lead a procession of veterans and current personnel to the grounds of Westminster Abbey.
We want as many people as possible to line the streets of Whitehall and watch the national service on big screens, to show their support for our Armed Forces both past and present.
If you’d like to catch a glimpse of the Queen, she will be attending a service at St Martin’s-in-the-Field Church, Trafalgar Square in the morning at 11am.
Horse Guards Parade, off Whitehall, at 2pm.
