Ashton Kutcher will replace Charlie Sheen on Two And A Half Men, with the actor cryptically confirming the news on Twitter, writing: “What’s the square root of 6.25?”
To which the answer is two and a half.
Kutcher will join Two And A Half Men’s upcoming ninth season later this year, replacing the tiger-blooded but troublesome Charlie Sheen.
The show’s creator Chuck Lorre has apparently devised a way to introduce Kutcher’s character into the storyline, replacing Sheen’s role as a womanising bachelor.
Sheen was fired from Two And A Half Men in March as a result of his bonkers – is amusing – behaviour, which included publicly insulting the show’s producers.

Following Sheen’s departure, production was shut down for the remaining eight episodes of the 2010-11 TV series.
Two And A Half Men producers have been desperately trying to replace Sheen, with Hugh Grant apparently in the running at one point.
Charlie Sheen will be replaced by Ashton Kutcher on Two And A Half Men.
However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Ashton Kutcher was in final negotiations to come onboard on Thursday night.
Kutcher is best known for his role as a stoner in That ’70s Show. He has appeared in several movies, to no great acclaim.
Ashton is, none the less, a popular Hollywood figure, with 6.8 million Twitter followers to date.
His high-profile relationship with actress Demi Moore has kept him in the spotlight.
Sheen, meanwhile, has been in and out of drug rehab for the last 12 months and is now touring the US with a stand-up comedy show.
Previously the highest-paid actor on US television, Sheen used to earn more than $1.2 million per episode.
But that was before he started WINNING…
