The Australian politial leaders’ debate has been chopped down and rescheduled to make way for the Masterchef final.

The debate, between prime minister Julia Gillard and opposition rival Tony Abbott was due to take place on the first Sunday of the federal election campaign.

However, unfortunately that’s the same date as the final of this year’s MasterChef, which 20% of Aussies will be watching.

So will the MasterChef final be postponed? Hell no! Instead, the politician’s debate will be cut from 90 minutes to an hour and will take place at 6:30pm, so it’s over in time for the cooking showdown.

Love it!
