Two bodies found in a Sydney unit are that of Asian women, but it’s not yet known how they died, police say.
The bodies were found in the bedroom of a first-floor unit of a complex at Auburn by a resident on Thursday.
The resident raised the alarm by flagging down a passing ambulance and police were called to the large apartment complex, on the corner of Harrow Rd and Queen St, by paramedics.
Police established a crime scene and are treating the deaths as suspicious.
“The women, described only as being of Asian appearance, had suffered visible injuries to their bodies,” a police statement said tonight.
“A post mortem examination will be carried out to determine the causes of death.”
Part of the complex was cordoned off and officers spent several hours speaking to residents through an interpreter and searching the area.
Forensic investigators were called in to examine the scene for clues.
