The 56-year-old from Gloucestershire was given the ultimate term in January after she was caught smuggling 4.8kg of cocaine in May last year – she was accused of being part of a drugs ring but claimed to have been coerced.
Prosecution pushed for 15 years in jail for Sandiford, but the panel of judges gave her death by firing squad.
The spokesman on behalf of the judges for the appeal said the original decision was “accurate and correct.”
The high court has now given her 14 days after she’s informed of the decision to appeal to the Supreme Court.
Sandiford’s next course of action, should the Supreme Court turn down her appeal, is a judicial review from the same court.
Only Indonesian president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono can grant a reprieve after that.
