It seems America does like Geordie singer and former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole after all, as she’s bagged herself a Hollywood role in a new movie.
Cole will act alongside Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez in What To Expect When You’re Expecting.
The film will also star Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford and Joe Manganiello from True Blood.
Cole is said to be in “advanced talks” about playing a talent show judge in the movie, which follows six couples expecting children.

A source said: "This is a bit of fun for Cheryl. She will film the scenes imminently and is really looking forward to it.
"It doesn't mean she suddenly wants to become an actress. It was just an opportunity that has come up while she has been having some downtime and she thought it would be great fun to take part."
Cole, who is set to begin shooting later this month, is reported to have impressed Hollywood film bosses when she appeared at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this summer.
What To Expect When You’re Expecting is due to be released on May 11 next year.
