Colin Firth has uncovered his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and said he couldn’t have done it without his wife, Livia.

The King’s Speech actor had his name immortalised in the 2,429th star on Hollywood’s iconic Boulevard. The star is situated, rather unromantically, outside the Pig n’ Whistle pub.

Firth was emotional as he unveiled the star and thanked everyone who helped him achieve it.

“I want to thank everybody that has accompanied me on this extraordinary journey,” Firth said as he posed by his star.

“But probably more than anybody I could ever imagine Livia who has walked every step of this with me joyfully and truthfully.

“When I look down there at that star, it’s her name I see.”

50-year-old Firth has been nominated for a Golden Globe for The King’s Speech and is expected to get an Oscars nod.

Firth already has quite a stack of award for his performance in A Single Man.
