Getting There

Aer Lingus and Ryanair fly direct from the UK to Cork, while
Eurolines does bus trips (including the ferry ride) from London to
Cork. There are regular trains (3 hours) and buses (4 ¼ hours) from
Cork to Dublin.

Bus 226 goes from the aiport to the city centre.

Getting Around

Having your own car is going to be your best bet, and negotiating around the city and surrounds isn’t too painful.

Most
stuff to see and do in Cork itself is within walking distance. For the
Blarney Castle and elsewhere take a bus from the central bus station,
while take a train to Cobh.

Buses and trains aren’t that frequent
(usually just one every hour), so it’s best to check out times
beforehand at Bus Eireann and Irish Rail.
