Well, this hapless cyclist didn’t – and he ended up causing massive jams on the M25 when he ended up on the southbound section of the motorway in Surrey.
Surprised motorists took to Twitter to document the cyclist’s unsafe route home, and police eventually managed to catch up with him after he was spotted between Junctions 12 and 13. He was helped off the motorway and given a £50 fine.
Speaking to Sky News, Sergeant Phil Dix, from Surrey Police said: “It is extremely fortunate that there was a safe outcome and that the cyclist was not injured, or worse – especially as he had crossed several slip roads coming off the motorway.”
