The Australian singer and former judge on the show quit last year after a clash over filming schedules, as the auditions clashed with her work on Australia’s Got Talent.

But the 40-year-old said she might come back to the show if Simon Cowell asked.

She said: “I really don’t know what’s happening – that’s up to Simon Cowell.

“I haven’t ruled out coming back to the UK for anything and I think all of the show’s fans know that I love it.”

The star added: “I would love to do it again, but it’s all in the hands of Mr Cowell.”

There have been rumours that Cowell wants to replace the Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos, Kelly Rowland and Louis Walsh with a fresh lineup of judges.

But Cowell has also said he wants to return to the panel for the next UK series as well as the US version of the show.
