In India the festival is the Hindu celebration of autumn, though in this hemisphere it’s actually spring. Regardless, the spirit remains the same and the opportunity to experience the best of Indian culture is unmissable.

We’ve all indulged in a curry more times than we care to remember, but at Diwali you’ll also find some lesser known Indian sweets on offer. Cane sugar juice, mango lassi and coconut barfi are some of the most popular you’ll find.

Take in the street performers, grab some Indian crafts or attend the rangoli workshop. Don’t forget, the party rages all day and well into the night (it is a light festival after all). Entrance is a gold coin donation and is held in the TSB Bank Arena. Click here for more information.
