British drum and bass producer DJ Fresh has debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart with his new single Louder.
Selling 140,000 copies, more than double number two single How We Roll by Loick Essien feat Tanya Lacey.
Featuring vocals from Sian Evans of Kosheen fame Louder is DJ Fresh’s first ever number one single and currently features on a Lucozade advert.
One of the main members of Bad Company, DJ Fresh (real name Daniel Stein) has worked with the likes of the Pet Shop Boys, DJ Shadow, Grooverider and Pendulum.
While DJ Fresh enjoyed success at the top, other mighter acts have fallen. Jason Derulo’s Don’t Wanna Go Home dropped from number one to fifth place, Beyoncé’s Best Thing I Never Had, fell three places to No 6, while Calvin Harris also tumbled three places with Bounce, featuring Kelis.
Beyoncé, meanwhile, still riding high from her performance at T In The Park on the weekend remained at No 1 on the album chart with 4.
