This weekend offers a great opportunity to explore Australia House, which is not normally open to the public.
It’s 100 years since the first Australian High Commissioner (Sir George Reid) arrived in London. To celebrate, the High Commission has organised an exhibition “100 years of diplomacy – Australia and the United Kingdom”.
The exhibition includes original documents, lots of great photographs, film and graphic material looking at many different aspects of what’s been doing in London for the past century.
The exhibition is open to the public on Saturday 20 Feb from 10am – 2pm, Sunday 21 February from 11am – 3pm, and Thursday 25 Feb from 6pm – 9pm at Australia House, Strand, London, WC2B 4LA
