Ker, who designs luxury handbags at her company Meli Melo under the pseudonym of Melissa Del Bono, is suing Ultimate Honeymoons Ltd after she and her husband ate a Red Snapper fish.
The meal apparently made the newlyweds very ill – and Ker has claimed she is still suffering from stomach upsets, namely “severe diarrhoea for two years” as well as claiming she has to face surgery and suffered with depression.
The couple’s lawyers have claimed that they suffered from Ciguatera food poisoning – caused by a toxic algae which cannot be destroyed through cooking – after eating the Red Snapper at their five star resort, Mnemba Island Lodge.

Ultimate Honeymoons, based bear Christchurch in Dorset, denies liability for the incident.
Mr Benton Jones of the travel company told the Daily Mail “They did not book a holiday through Ultimate Honeymoons; although, as they are friends of friends, we did help them get a discount on the booking they made with Mnemba Lodge…we were surprised they didn’t inform us about this until five months after they returned. We are sorry if they have been ill.”
